Introduction:

The UK’s Foreign, UK warns its people not to visit to any part of Pakistan at all, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued travel advice urging its citizens to restrict “all travel” to specific areas of Pakistan, The advisory places particular emphasis on avoiding areas near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, FCDO strongly advises against travel within 10 miles of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Other areas listed as unsafe include  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) areas and specific areas of Sindh, In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, areas such as Bajaur, Bannu, Charsadda and others are reported to be at high risk.

Similarly, the advisory also applies to Balochistan province, except for essential travel to the south coast, FCDO also warned against traveling within 10 miles of the Line of Control (LOC) in AJK, the Military Line of Control separating AJK and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

UK citizens’ travel insurance is at risk of being invalidated if they do not comply with the notice, Pakistan has seen a significant increase in terrorism-related incidents since the Taliban-led government took control of Afghanistan in 2021.
