Pakistan’s US dollar exchange rate increased by Re0.07 to Rs279.49, at the Karachi interbank market on Wednesday (February 21), the US dollar witnessed slight weakness.
Foreign Exchange Association of Pakistan (FAP) reported open market dollar buying and selling rates at Rs 279.75 and Rs 282.3 respectively.
On the other hand, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) saw a notable increase in Euro prices, up 82 paisa, to close at Rs 302.06, compared to Rs 301.24 the previous day, At the same time, the Japanese yen rose marginally by 01 paisa to Rs 1.86, while the British pound gained 74 paisa to trade at Rs 352.68, up from its last close at Rs 351.94 .
On the contrary, UAE Dirham and Saudi Arabian Riyals fell marginally by 02 paisa each to close at Rs 76.09 and Rs 74.52 respectively.
