According to the news source, the projects will cost an estimated PKR three billion and will entail building the Abdullah Pur-Jhumra Road Flyover and expanding Sheikhupura Road. Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh was briefed by Faisalabad Development Authority Chief Engineer Mehar Ayub on the scope and details of such huge projects.

The deputy commissioner, along with employees such as Deputy Director Development Rana Tahir and Deputy Director Engineering Umer Iqbal, among others, visited the project sites to oversee both the administrative and technical aspects.

The First Project that the Faisalabad Development Authority is preparing is the Abdullah Pur-Jhumra Road Flyover, one of the projects, is anticipated to cost PKR 1.36 billion. The Abdullah Pur Overhead Bridge turnaround point traffic congestion problems are addressed by this project. The objective is to enable a more fluid traffic flow toward Jhumra Road. Additionally, the 0.75-kilometer flyover would end at Jhumra Road after starting at Railway Colony Tariqabad, close to the historic Abdullah Pur Overhead Bridge. For commuters going to Mansoor Abad and Jhumra Road, its completion will significantly improve access.

Also planned is the renovation and expansion of Sheikhupura Road from the Nishatabad Overhead Bridge to Gattwala, which will cost PKR 1.51 billion. The provincial cabinet status committee has approved this project, which includes redesigning the existing street, adding a ten-foot lane, inserting tuff tiles, creating sidewalks, and improving drainage on each side. Along with the anticipated increase in visitor numbers, this project is anticipated to improve the town’s overall appearance.
